Eighteenth meeting of the DANUBE FAB SCF

To maintain DANUBE FABs in-depth relationship with all stakeholders, the 18th meeting of the Social Consultation Forum was held on 18th May 2022. The meeting allowed the social partners to receive a summary of the activities completed in 2021, as well as understand the planned activities within the FAB for 2022.

The eighteenth Meeting of the DANUBE FAB SCF briefed participants on the recently adopted Strategic documents, discussing the progress made on finalising and enacting the actions identified in the internal Strategic Impact Study.

The staff representatives were informed on the status of the three DANUBE FAB High Priority Projects, noting the progress made on the expansion of SEE FRA operations with Republic of Moldova joining in February 2022, while cross border free route operations had also been implemented with BALTIC FRA at the same time. In addition, InterFAB coordination was discussed, with DANUBE FAB to hold an InterFAB Research Workshop in Sofia in September 2022 on the topic of Resilience in ATM. 

Other activities explained during this meeting included some technical projects that had been identified in the internal Strategic Impact Study, while the joint participation in the new SESAR 3 programme poses new opportunities for collaboration, the extent of which is currently under evaluation, with further updates on this to be provided in future.

The next DANUBE FAB Social Consultation Forum shall be held in Autumn 2022.
